“...For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God” (Romans 14:10b); “...as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one’” Romans 3:10
This is the state of humanity; we are found wanting before the holy and righteous God.
Yet He has made a way for us in His mercy; He sent His son Jesus the Messiah once for sin.
Although Jesus was without sin, and we are saturated with it, Jesus took our place. He paid the punishment we deserve. He was crucified on a cross, and buried in the grave. But that’s not the end of the story:
On the third day He was raised from the dead. About a month later, He went up into the heavens. To this day, He waits for the very real Day when He will return. Visibly. Physically. In glory, and with vengeance.
When He comes, He will set up His Kingdom. In it there will finally be justice, uprightness, peace, and purity. If we believe in Jesus, and live our lives in faithfulness to Him, when He comes we will be saved. We will be undeservedly blessed with resurrection from the dead and eternal life in His Kingdom.
If we deny Him, the judgment we deserve will be poured out on us, and we will spend eternity in Hell.
We have the opportunity to receive mercy in this age, but the days of mercy are quickly coming to a close.
Will you repent, and surrender your life to the Lord? You have the opportunity to turn, be reconciled to God, and be adopted by Him in the age to come. If you would like to know more about this, please email:
